A Case of Disseminated Cryptococcosis Confirmed by Microbiologic Approach

Abstract
|
|
|
Cryptococcosis is a mycosis due to C. neoformans, and occurs world widely, with several hundreds new cases every year in the united state.
But, in Korea, the first case reported in 1951, after then 45 cases were reported and disseminated form were only 9 cases among them.
Recently the authors experienced one case of disseminated cryptoccosis which was conformed through the microbiologic approach. It was very hard to diagnosis because of without meningeal irritation sign in spite of meningitis.
